Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) has always been making efforts for the holistic development of the students. In keeping with this tradition, P.G. Department of Commerce and Business Administration in association with Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI) organised a webinar on Financial Awareness and diversified Investment Portfolio. The resource person for the workshop was Ms. Shruti Gupte, an empaneled trainer with National Institute of Securities Market, Securities and Exchange Board of India. Ms. Shruti Gupte apprised the students about various topics like importance and various ways of saving money. She discussed about the 50-30-20 Budget Rule in detail. She also explained the impact of inflation on savings & gave an in depth knowledge regarding the concept of compound interest. She also acquainted the students with the risk and reward matrix. Ms. Shruti Gupte addressed the queries of all the participants very aptly. Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi expressed her gratitude for the resource person and lauded the efforts of Dr. Neeraj Maini, Dr. Sabina Batra and faculty for taking initiatives to keep the students abreast of the latest developments in the field of Securities Market.
