Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) organized a Slogan Writing Competition to commemorate International Literacy Day. The competition provided students with a creative platform to express their thoughts and ideas through short, meaningful, and impactful slogans. Keeping in view the significance of International Literacy Day, students were encouraged to reflect on the role of literacy in empowering individuals, improving quality of life, promoting equality, and contributing towards the development of an informed and progressive society. During the competition, students prepared slogans on themes related to literacy, education, reading, learning, empowerment, equal educational opportunities, and lifelong learning. The participants displayed creativity, originality, and critical thinking while presenting meaningful messages in a concise and attractive manner. The activity encouraged students to understand and communicate the transformative role of literacy in individual and social development. Director Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi appreciated the initiative taken by Department of Student Welfare and Department of Bio-Technology and congratulated the faculty members and students for organizing and participating in the activity. She emphasized the importance of literacy and education in empowering individuals, promoting equality, and building a progressive and knowledge-based society. The event successfully combined learning, creativity, and social awareness, reinforcing the understanding that literacy is an essential foundation for individual empowerment, equal opportunities, social progress, and lifelong learning.
