First batch of students successfully completes M.Voc. degree under credit based system
Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage & Autonomous institution, Seat of Women Empowerment, Ranked No. 1 Autonomous College of Punjab and Top National Rankings (India Today Survey- 2021) has been scaling newer heights of success with every coming dawn. KMV is the Only college in region running Internationally approved credit based system of education for masters of vocation in Retail Management, Animation and Textile Design and Apparel Technology under DDU Kaushal Kendra granted by Government of India. In an another major achievement, the first batch of students have successfully completed their M.Voc. degree program under credit based system of education and have got placed in various industries. Throwing more light on it, Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that to bring the education system of KMV at par with international standards, these courses are credit based with course curriculum and syllabi have also been upgraded at frequent intervals as per the requirements of industry. The important measures Kanya Maha Vidyalaya has taken to enhance academic standards and quality in higher education includes innovation and improvements in curriculum, teaching-learning process, and examination and evaluation systems. The student enters a whole new world of learning activities, teaching styles and assessment methods. Academic credits are also an important part of national and international education, as it will help students to better understand how their progress is evaluated during their studies or how they can transfer credits to study anywhere in the world. Prof. Dwivedi concluded by saying that all these skill based courses primarily keeps the job prospects in mind as college also has tie ups and MoUs signed with different leading industries and Sector Skill Councils so that the students can get proper industrial exposure. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of Dr Gopi Sharma, Director, DDU Kaushal Kendra for successfully guiding the students.
