Women empowerment and education is the vision of KMV – the Heritage Institution

Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) on the completion of its 138 years of immense contribution to the cause of women empowerment through education, announces scholarships worth Rs. One Crore to the brilliant and deserving students.  KMV  grants various scholarships and concessions  to facilitate girl students in pursuing their cherished dreams. The college provides financial support and incentives to students with outstanding performance in academics, co-curricular activities  & sports  and  to students with physical disabilities, besides helping the needy and economically weak  students. The college awards scholarship to the students scoring 95% marks & above and students  achieving top position in the university  in  any  stream. The students securing 1^st position in the class also receives scholarship and all college players get full freeship, free boarding & free lodging facility.  To promote women education, KMV has announced  a concession to single girl child & a concession  is also reserved for parentless students, Single mother child & for the  physically challenged  students. College also provides full freeship for the ward of Martyrs and in order to promote Sanskrit language, College also provides a concession to the students opting for Sanskrit. In addition to these  scholarships, the outstanding achievers in academics, Extra Curricular Activities and other areas receive scholarships/ cash awards. Moreover, KMV also provides free of cost books to the deserving students and the most important benefit of studying at KMV is that the college also offers free of cost value added programs in each semester namely Moral Education, Foundation Course, Gender Sensitisation, Social Outreach & Job Readiness etc. to the students, whereas in other institutions there are hefty fees for these. Skill enhancing classes, personality development classes, spoken english classes are also provided to the students along with the other benefits at KMV. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi reiterated the commitment of the  college to the cause of women emancipation through providing educational opportunities to girls and by making all out efforts to reach out to even the most marginalised class. She further averred that it is indeed a matter to gloat over that no student leaves KMV portals because of paucity of funds as here service to humanity is our motto and mission and this initiative of providing scholarships will help many students to foster a better tomorrow.
