Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) renowned for its progressive educational initiatives, has announced the launch of five-year integrated programs in Commerce, English, Mathematics, and Physics. These programs boast upgraded syllabi meticulously designed to align with the transformative vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, offering students a holistic and future-ready learning experience. As one of the first colleges in the region to fully implement NEP 2020, KMV has consistently demonstrated its commitment to academic excellence and innovation. The institution’s proactive approach has been recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC), which declared KMV an “NEP SAARTHI” for its exemplary efforts in promoting and integrating the policy’s objectives. The newly introduced five-year integrated programs are a testament to KMV’s dedication to providing a comprehensive and interdisciplinary education. These programs offer students the unique advantage of pursuing both undergraduate and postgraduate studies in a seamless, extended format, fostering deeper learning and specialised expertise. The five-year programs in Commerce (M.Com. FYIP), English (M.A. English FYIP), Mathematics (M.Sc. Mathematics FYIP) and Physics (M.Sc. Physics FYIP) provide a smooth academic journey from undergraduate to postgraduate levels. A key feature of these integrated programs is the provision for an exit option at the end of the fourth year, where students can graduate with a Bachelor’s degree with Honours. This allows students the flexibility to pursue immediate career opportunities or explore other avenues with a strong undergraduate foundation, while also having the option to continue into the fifth year for their Master’s degree, thus ensuring multiple pathways for the specialisation. It is pertinent to mention that the students can join these prestigious programs after 10+2.
