KMVites innovative projects win laurels at international level competition titled INNOVESTA-2021

Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) always stressed upon innovations in science education for enabling smart and inclusive growth of students. P.G. Department of Physics is constantly working in the directions of imparting science education through innovative teaching methodologies. In an another major achievement, six students participated in INNOVESTA- 2021 organised by Dr. B.R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, in which the  judges of the event were very much impressed by the work of KMVites and also encouraged them to get their innovative ideas patent. The students were also rewarded with cash prize for their projects.Dr.Dipan Sahu, Assistant Innovation Director, Minister of Education’s Innovation Cell, Government of India was the ChiefGuest of the event. This mega event witnessed huge participation of young innovators from different countries like France, Austria, South Korea, Utah, Bangladesh, Nepal and India. KMVites showcased their unique and innovative ideas in this event as they have developed an automatic machine of hand sanitiser, touch less switches and have also constructed a project on stagnant waste water problem. In the on-going time of pandemic, students have realised the need of frequent sanitisation, therefore, students have developed touch less hand sanitisingmachine which will be installed at the entrance of their class rooms. Further a prototype of touch less switches and touch less attendance system has been developed with an objective that students while entering or leaving the class room can turn lights and fans ON/OFF without even touching switches and can get themselves sanitised too& the attendance of students will be automatically marked by just passing across the switch. Moreover, students have also developed an automatic sensor system which will work on three different modes depending on level of stagnated water. Further the drained water will be stored and utilised for other purposes after treatment. Students have presented their work by giving powerpoint presentation as well as demonstrating their work.Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi lauded the efforts of students of P.G. Department of Physics. She averred that today innovation is the need of hour and our curriculum is focused on inspiring the students for innovations and entrepreneurship.
