  • Skill Development Training in entrepreneurship, business planning, financial management, and leadership skills.

PG Department of Zoology& Chemistry organized an Expert talk on “Accelerators/ Incubation- Opportunities for Students & Faculties- Early -Stage Entrepreneurs”.The speaker of the talk was Ms Chetna Arora, Assistant Professor, PG Department of Commerce and Business Administration, Kanya Maha Vidyalaya Jalandhar. She highlighted that accelerators and incubation centers have emerged as powerful platforms for nurturing innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship among students, faculties, and early-stage entrepreneurs. In today’s knowledge-driven economy, these initiatives provide the necessary support system to transform ideas into viable business ventures. By offering mentorship, infrastructure, funding, and access to networks, they act as catalysts in bridging the gap between academic knowledge and practical application. The resource person emphasised that accelerators and incubation centers for students, open avenues to translate classroom learning into real-world solutions. She also highlighted that exposure to entrepreneurial thinking, skill development, and teamwork while creating opportunities for funding, internships, and industry partnerships. Such programs encourage students not only to become job seekers but also to evolve as job creators. Faculties also gain significantly from incubation opportunities.. She concluded her talk with the remarks that, accelerators and incubation centers serve as essential drivers of innovation and entrepreneurship for students, faculties, and early-stage entrepreneurs. They not only provide resources and mentorship but also foster a mindset of creativity and problem-solving that contributes to economic growth and social development. Overall, it was a very interactive session. The seminar ended with a healthy discussion and the vote of thanks. The lecture was very enlightening, informative and useful for all the participants.
