Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) organised a 30-hour Job Readiness Value-Added Program in association with industry professionals to enhance the employability skills of undergraduate Semester V students. The program covered a wide range of modules including Resume Building, Cover Letter Writing, Online Job Portals, Interview Skills, Presentation Skills, LinkedIn Profiling, Email Etiquette, Telephonic Interviews, and Mock Interviews.
Dr. Suman Khurana, Dean, Placement Cell and Head, PG Department of Computer Science & Applications, began the series of sessions with an in-depth discussion on Resume and Cover Letter preparation. The program featured expert guidance from faculty and industry resource persons including Dr. Sabina Batra (Session on Online Job Portals), Dr. Rashmi Bindra (Session on Interview Skills), Dr. Natasha Sharma (Session on Effective Presentation Skills), Dr. Jeeta Sarkar – HR JIM, Noida (Session on LinkedIn Profiling), and Mrs. Anukiran Khanna (Session on Email Etiquette & Telephonic Interviews).
A dedicated Mock Interview and Group Discussion session allowed students to apply their learning in simulated professional scenarios, with personalised feedback from experts.
Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi commended the initiative, stating that KMV remains committed to producing graduates who excel academically and professionally. She praised the efforts of Dr. Suman Khurana and the Placement Cell team for providing students with a platform to acquire the skills necessary for success in a competitive global workplace.
