The participants will:

PG Department of Zoology, in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council at Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar, organized a Writing and Reading Competition on the theme “Innovations in Life Sciences” on September 12, 2025, at10:30 AM in the Zoology Laboratory. This event aimed to foster scientific creativity and effective communication skills among students by encouraging them to explore innovative ideas and advances in the field of life sciences.
Participants were required to write a 250-word essay on the assigned theme using A4 sheets and submit their work for evaluation. The competition provided a platform for students to express their understanding of recent innovations and reflect on their significance in solving real-world problems in biology and related disciplines. After careful evaluation by faculty members, the best papers were selected for the reading competition, where students presented their essays in front of the audience and a panel of judges.
In the Writing Competition, the following students secured the top positions:

3rdPrize: Tannia, M. Sc. (Zoology) Sem III
In the Reading Competition, the winners were:

The event was a great success, showcasing the talents and confidence of the students. It promoted better expression, comprehension, and academic engagement among the participants. The competition not only motivated students to engage in scientific writing but also enhanced their public speaking and critical thinking skills. It successfully highlighted the importance of innovation in life sciences for societal advancement.
