The Autonomous and Heritage institution, Kanya Maha Vidyalaya ranked No. 1 college of Punjab and Top National Ranking by India, Outlook Magazine and Times of India Group 2022 in order to spread awareness about the World Ozone Day. The event was organized by Department of Zoology &Environmental Sciences in collaboration with Eco-Club. Every year college grabs opportunity to sensitize students and institutional faculty regarding this vital environmental issue. Organized Poster making and two sessions aimed to spread awareness about the critical role of the ozone layer in sustaining life on earth, to discuss the science behind ozone depletion and to explore global efforts and technological innovations for its recovery and second session was an enlightening and thought-provoking session that enhance scientific awareness and inspired the audience to contribute towards protecting our atmosphere. Making competitions on 16th September, 2025 to celebrate “WORLD OZONE DAY” with theme: “FROM SCIENCE TO GLOBAL ACTION”. Around 50 students participated with full zeal and enthusiasm in the event to showcase their creativity. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi Congratulated the students and Dean Student welfare Dr. Madhumeet Kaur, Dr. Archana Saini head of Zoology and EVS department, Dr. Mandeep Kaur from department of Zoology, Dr. Sandeep Kaur incharge Eco -club, Lt. Sufalica Kalia Department of Environment Science & Associate NCC Officer, Dr. Karina & Ms. Ipshita Dhiman Department of Environment Science for sensitizing the students and making the event big success. She thanked all the students for joining the cause and asked them to connect to such initiatives in future too.
