Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (KMV), Jalandhar, organized a thought-provoking debate competition on 10th September 2025 centered around the theme “Initiatives under the National Education Policy (NEP)” as part of its continued commitment to academic excellence and holistic student development. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various departments, who eloquently presented their views both in favor of and against the various reforms introduced by NEP 2020. The competition provided a dynamic platform for students to critically analyze the policy’s potential impact on the Indian education system, including multidisciplinary learning, skill development, digital inclusion, and language promotion. Presiding over the event, Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi commended the participants for their confident expression, in-depth research, and clarity of thought. She emphasized the importance of such intellectual forums in fostering a culture of awareness and analytical thinking among youth. Dr. Dwivedi also appreciated the relevance of the topic, stating that understanding and discussing NEP initiatives is essential for shaping future-ready individuals. The judges lauded the quality of arguments and the spirit of healthy competition displayed by the students. Winners were awarded certificates and trophies in recognition of their outstanding performances. The event concluded with a vote of thanks and a renewed commitment from KMV to keep empowering students through such engaging academic activities.
