Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) has been at the fore front in imparting quality education to the students. To fulfill this purpose, PG Department of Physics organized an educational Trip to Bhakra dam and Shri Anandpur sahib. Students along with  4 teachers of PG Department of Physics went on this trip. At Bhakra Dam, studentsacquired knowledge about production of hydroelectric power. They were also acquainted about many concepts of physics and about their applications. This trip updated knowledge of the students and they alsoreceived demonstration of practical application of concepts of physics. During the visit to ShriAnandpur sahib students visited Virasat-e- Khalsa museum and learnt a lot about the history of Sikh gurus and Punjab.Many demonstrations at Virasat-e-Khalsa were based on the various concepts of physics as students related various theoretical concepts (especially Optics, mechanics and Electromagnetic) with practical learning.  Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that such activities help the students to acquire important information with interest and also return to their classroom with full enthusiasm after an energetic break. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of PG Department of Physics for successfully organising the trip.
