KMV Organizes Essay Writing Competition in Collaboration with Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar

Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage & Autonomous institution, Ranked No.1 College in India by India Today Ranking in collaboration with Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar organized an Inter School District level Essay Writing Competition to commemorate the 550th Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev ji. Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi inaugurated the event. In her Inaugural address, she averred that Guru Nanak Dev ji have spread the message of love, equality, universal brotherhood and saving the environment and we should follow the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev ji in true spirit. She further maintained that the need of the hour is to protect the Mother Nature and that would be the real tribute to Guru Nanak Dev ji. The topics for the competition were Ajoke Samaaj vich Guru Nanak Dev ji diyaan sakhiyaan da mahatav and Gurbani Ashey anusaar Vatavarn sambhaal ate kude da prabhandan. More than 60 students from various schools participated in the event with full zeal & enthusiasm. Mr Harjot Singh(Superintendant, Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar), Mr Mandeep Singh(Superintendant, Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar), Ms Ramanpreet(Co-ordinator, Swach Bharat Abhiyaan, Jalandhar) & Mrs Parveen Abrol(Renowned Writer) were also present on the occasion. The judges for the competition were Mr Harjot Singh, Mrs Parveen Abrol and Dr Madhumeet(Dean, Student Welfare, KMV). Rajmel Kaur 10+2 student of KMV Collegiate School bagged the 1st prize. The judges averred that all the participants had fared very well and the competition was pretty tough.
