Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) has always set up benchmark for enriching skills among the students and make them stand out of crowd to outshine not only in academics but also to put the best foot forward in the industry to achieve their career and professional goals. Making a notable achievement, the students of M.Voc. and B.Voc. Retail Management under DDU Kaushal Kendra has outstandingly completed their stipend based internship of Rs. 10,000 each with the renowned internationalretail brands such as Shoppers Stop, Vero Moda, Jack & Jones, Only, Kapsons, Pantaloons, Lifestyle, Max as well as Punjab National Bank, UCO Bank and Co-operative Bank under Retailers Association’s Skill Council of India (RASCI), Govt. of India. During the internship, the students were acquainted with the practical aspects of Retailing, Concepts of Visual Merchandising, Piling, Board Filling, Accounts handling, Customer dealing, latest banking practices, accounts handling and many more. All the students performed exquisite job during training period and due to their outshining performance, many students got job offers from the retail organisations. One of the Retail Management student Jagvir Kaur got placement in Department of Treasury Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Canada with a handsome package of Rs. 25 Lacs per annum. Muskanpreet Kaur, student of M.Voc. (Retail Management) got placed as Assistant Manager and Amandeep Kaur, student of B.Voc. (Retail Management) got placed in Blessed and Dressed, PPR Mall, Jalandhar respectively with a handsome package of Rs. 4-5 Lacs per annum. Apart from that other students of B.Voc. (Retail Management) Naina Sharma, Gagandeep Kaur and Kiranpreet Kaur got job in Kapsons and Vero Moda, Jalandhar respectively with a lucrative salary package. Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi lauded the efforts of Dr. Rashmi Sharma and faculty of Retail Management Department for always guiding students in best professional way and also congratulated the students for attaining professional traits and grabbing best possible job opportunities.
