The event was organised jointly by Department of Student Welfare, PG Department of English and PG Department of Journalism and Mass Communication. During this, the team of Vigilance Bureau Range Jalandhar met the students through video conferencing and appealed to the students to create an awareness for the eradication of corruption in the society. On this occasion, saying that corruption is a hindrance in the country’s economy, political and social development, the students also took an oath to get rid of corruption and to fulfil their duty with complete dedication and honesty, while making people aware against corruption. Along with this, Vigilance Bureau also told that it is an offence to ask for bribe in any government work and the victim can send its information to the Vigilance Department without any fear and the identity of that person will also be kept secret by the department. Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that the creation of a corruption-free society is not only the responsibility of any one citizen, but it can be realised only with the combined cooperation of all. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of Dr Madhumeet, Dean, Department of Student Welfare for successfully organising the event.
