Conducts Enlightening Session on Introduction to SPSS Software for the Faculty Members
Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage & Autonomous institution, Seat of Women Empowerment with Top National and State Rankings by India Today Survey of Best Colleges 2020 (various categories) & Outlook Magazinehas always encouraged its faculty & students to become more research oriented and innovative. The Research Cell of KMV organised the Research Forum in order to promote the research aptitude in the teachers and also to highlight the various research related achievements of the faculty. This time the PG Department of Commerce & Business Administration showcased the research profile of the department. The research profiles of various teachers from the PG Department of Commerce & Business Administration were shown by Dr Neeraj Maini, Head, PG Department of Commerce & Business Administration& Dr Sabina Batra. Mrs Namita Kalra gave an Expert talk on Introduction to SPSS software. She explained about the importance of SPSS in data analysis & also informed the audience about the rigorous process of collecting & managing the data in SPSS. She also explained in detail the types of data and their relevance according to the research problem. It is important to mention that the Research Forum is one of the regular features of the college which is organised from time to time in order to promote the research-oriented activities. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi lauded the efforts of Research Cell, IQAC of the college and averred that this provides a very good learning experience for all the faculty members and that in KMV we always promote our faculty to engage in the research-oriented activities. She further maintained that in this competitive world, the teachers should always strive to pursue more quality based research as this is the only way through which students can also be motivated to engage themselves in the research oriented activities. Principal Madam also highlighted the fact that KMV will always provide monetary aid to the deserving faculty member for the purpose of research.
