A survey to investigate the Gross Enrollment Ratio (GER) in the Jalandhar district was conducted by 108 Commerce Department students. GER, a key indicator of educational inclusion and accessibility, aligns with the NEP 2020 goal of increasing enrollment in higher education. The students aimed to understand educational trends and youth participation in higher education. Data was collected through questionnaires shared both online and offline, resulting in over 500 responses. The activity enhanced students’ research and analytical skills while offering insights into local educational challenges. Findings from the survey can support policy planning to improve GER. The initiative reflects a meaningful step toward achieving national education targets.
