The department of Home Science offers Professional courses such as BSc Home Science as well as the Skill oriented Vocational Courses such as BVoc Nutrition, Exercise and Health. Besides, a student can also opt for Home Science as a subject in Graduation Studies or a Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education. At the post graduate level, the students can enrol themselves in PG Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics. It covers the study of various sciences such as Foods and Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Administration, Extension Education, Textiles and Clothing, Human Resource Management as well as Child and Family Counselling.
The study of Home Science aims at the holistic development of the students after the competition of which, along with being an efficient home maker they can venture in the career options of being a Dietician, Child and Family Counsellor, Academician, Apparel Merchandiser, Extension Educator and many more. The wide horizon offered by the department of Home Science is due to multifaceted avenues offered to the students during the course of the study.
